Great shots, Secret Weapon and Russ.

For me.... just so all of you don't think that I am only a Santa Fe bigot....
(which I am, btw)..... here is a shot of one of my other favorite
locos, the Southern Pacific SD7/SD9 "Cadillac":

I purchased this stock Atlas SD7 N scale model off that auction site, repaired
broken Sunrise details, then lightly weathered with Bragdon powders and
Grimy Black dry-brushed on the trucks.

Have a good Holiday Season, all!

Miles and miles of track on eithe side of that corner! I'd love to have that much yard. :tb-biggrin:

Here are two more of the same ol'. I hope to get some trees added and some details over the holidays, but time is tight. I still haven't built the Danby Sawmill, either. So, here is the best I can do.

I made an attempt at an adobe building in N scale:

    It's still missing a roof...

Haven't had much time to model for the last couple of weeks. I did get these 2 freight cars built though, using spare moments in the wee small hours.

The kits are from ECW - 70t enterprise cov hoppers - and the dry transfers are from CDS.

Pretty cool, I've seen a lot of adobe that looks just like that. And the roof is always the first thing to go, maybe you don't need one!

Got, for the most part, my Tidewater grain barge finished last night. It isn't anywhere near scale as It wouldn't fit at my port. I still need to attach the midship stairs that were on back order at the local hobby store as well as give it one more shot of dull coat. I've got to experiment with what dull coat does to my smiley faces that I printed out on my computer before I affix them permanantly.

My suggestion is to use very light, hardly-wet coats fo dullcote. Let dry, and make another pass. Repeat untill sufficiently sealed. This may take a while, but it shouldn't mess up your smileys.
Nice barge! Are the smileys prototypical?

I got more work done on the SD50 pair and GP40 this weekend. decals are done and sealed. Awaiting dry time, trucks to be painted and flat coated, as well as the fuel tank, then reassembly.

    Here's my project:

I used Micro Kristal Kleer to fill int e front numberboards--the result wasn't as flat as I wanted, but it's too late to fix it without redoing the numbers.

I only have 18 right now, but will be getting more. Today I put Fox Valley wheels I got from Chuck at the show in CT on all 18 cars. These wheels look great!
