~ ~ That is one incredible shot! Not only is it a perfect coupler shot, it gives a great idea of what it was life was like ontop of the boxes.
And something that's no so prototypical AC4400 in the Heritage CN Scheme [ September 23, 2005, 11:47 PM: Message edited by: Colonel ]
Had a couple of unusual sightings this week. A BALOU LINE unit of high cubes takes the diverging route at the Wynonna Jct. (Someday those units will get lettered) An old demo unit slave it's life away....
Nice stuff guys, makes me wish I'd get in gear and finish my layout a little more. Here is something old from me for entertainment value.
That was on the old Denver & Rio Grande before it became the Durango & Silverton. A friend and I had been backpacking along the Continental Divide and came down to catch the train to Durango at a siding and wye called Elk Park. The box cars were parked there.
HB Zachry siding next to Salado Creek. Kitty litter ballast, renumbered Concor flat car with wooden deck and Fine N Scale load, low water crossing with lilly pads. The big Texas flag is really there; the siding is gone now. HB Zachary uses it for an equipment storage area.
This week the shots are at Cresco, PA. This is an aerial shot of the station. Mountain Home branch is abandoned on the right side of the picture. The station is scratchbuilt. Scott Lupia
Now an eastbound train is pulling into the station. The E8's are Kato which I painted. The lead unit has a Richmond Controls MARS light in the lower headlight and a constant light above it. Scott Lupia
