Another from the moldy oldy files. Here we have a guy who fell down right as the camera took the shot. Must have tripped.
He-he! I have a whole city of drunks. I'm working (gasp!) today, but may have some stuff over the weekend.
here's a shot from last weekend at the club layout. a wide variety of power moving a grain unit train through the hills no drunks hiding in the hills at this point, but there may be a still under construction to hide out here........ stay tuned!
I managed to get out and do some railfanning this afternoon, and scored: 2 fresh UP SD70M's, 5000-series 1 UNPATCHED C&NW Dash 9 and a set of four numerically-matched SD40-2's in UP paint, in numerical order.... Pics soon...
Hey Flash - those hoppers look way too clean. Beast - a strange UFO hanging over the far end of your layout. Russ - Great shot. You sure it wasn't a mob hit? Looks like Antonio the hit man was at work. I've been doing more weathering. The first is a GN boxcar that I abused: I also moved on to Cylindrical Hoppers: Here they are on the layout: One last shot: Been busy with the camera this week.
Built this for my cousin for Xmas. It was used as a caboose in the Bay area, and when he was growing up it went right by his high school daily. he actually jumped on for a ride once. Interedting, they put freight trucks on and called it a 'caboose'.
Bruce in MA: Great weathering. I particularly like the splotches. Just really nice stuff. Jon: Snow? Really looks nice. Looks cold! Is this your layout theme?
Heck of a nice job Marty! I have never seen or heard of such a caboose on Espee. Wonder if it was local only for the area?
FD, this is looking very nice. I have been following the bridge thread. I think you should abandon all this practicing you are doing and just go for it!! Really nice scene.
flash, Love those MP hoppers I hope to have some similar like those as well. Also glad to see you have installed trees they look excellent. Last night Jason, Greg and myself had an operating session, here are a few pics.
Flash It was just local. My understanding it was rebuilt from a Harriman short baggage in the Bayshore shops. It was used on the Colma Branch out of So. San Francisco and went to Colma. Colma is unique. The whole town was cemetaries. The largest deceased population in the United States!!!!!!!!!
It seems to be the theme for every British layout I have built, (well, 2), and I have even been roped into doing some snow scenics for a small continental narrow gauge mountain shoebox layout. Jon
Marty - nice little car. I can't wait to the the chop shop, er, I mean the Grandure Car Works going. Oh, and my digital cammera fixed or replaced. FD - Nice looking bridge. Every one - Thanks for sharing. Mabye I'll post a worthy pic here some day.
Marty: Russell Straw was over here running trains for a while. He said that he had seen pictures of it before and that it was, indeed, one of a kind.
