My Father has the same tankcar. It's an MDC/Roundhouse car in the "Oldtimer" collection. I'm assuming it had a prototype, as MDC was pretty good at offering models of "real" rolling stock. In any case, he picked it up because it was eye catching (kind of like that Chateau car).
As usual, you guys are amazing!!!! Here is the a shot of a couple of HO lokies waiting for roadbed and scenery . [ November 22, 2005, 11:20 AM: Message edited by: espeeman ]
John: Nice looking Espee diesels even though they are HO. I like your avatar BTW. Stay cool and run steam.......
Thanks Bob! I'm very pleased with the avatar. Siggie Masta out-did himself on this one! Life-Like did a nice job on the HO diesels. They are nice looking, running, and sounding! (well, only #5602 has sound at this time) How is your stay in TX?
John: So far, my stay in plano has been wonderful. The entire family is together and that's what's most important. Made my way over to Discount Model trains this morning and I got a great deal on three undecorated Kato Mikado's. Stay cool and run steam.......
Since Bobbye Hall retired & closed her shop, Discount is about the only decent act in that side of the Metroplex, if not the whole Metroplex. I find it impossible to walk in and leave empty-handed- kinda like shopping at Wal*Mart, in fact.......
DMT makes it difficult to leave without any purchases. The place was quite busy when I was there this morning. They have a great selection of detail parts for loco's and rolling stock. Most LHS's don't have the seletion that DMT has. I always enjoy stopping in the store, when I'm in Dallas. Stay cool and run steam.....
