Was browsing another site and saw this posting for a new venture producing weather decals. http://www.weatheringsolutions.com/ props to these fellas for trying to fill a niche and aiding those who do not like chalks, paints, etc on their cars.

i kinda like this venture. props to these dudes. i just surprised to have not seen anything like this before. even from the graffiti decal manufacturers. a little google search and i see its been around for a while in military modeling.

I've seen these on other boards. These decals are pretty thick and it is hard to hide the decal edges. I might buy some if he switches to a thinner film, otherwise they don't photograph well up close.

Karl, it was stated on another forum that they have changed to thinner paper.

Interesting they stated this was a new venture if people have seen them around for some time. Oh well. Still great yor folks who'd rather not do it via traditional methods

I think you should paint an engine for me and I'll make you some weathered decals ;)

I just picked up a great book by Tom Mann that has different techniques for weathering, using powders, paints and salt. I weathered up 7 hoppers yesterday with different methods. It can be tough to keep everything looking different.

What engine do you need painted?
