Train 287 (I believe) just left Cincinnati and is crossing the second of three trestles in Ludlow, KY. I just got to the summit of the hillside when the train arrived...
Dave, Obviously not soon enough.... I shot one of these units also back late of last year, and thought for beign over at least a year old, these should at least have some 13D applied. Here is a crummy shot I took after a long disappointing day of 2 rolls of exposed film and a headache, but alas my trip to Greensboro, my old college town, was still great at least I have this shot and the memories Once again I apologize for the quality of the shot, but thats what you get when you have to buy one of the throw aways and then shoot into the sun. Have a good one, Justin [ 26 February 2001: Message edited by: Justin May ]
I live in Northwest Indiana and work for the South Shore(NICTD) and carry my camera with me. I also have noticed primered engines and have taken a few picts. What gives withNS, no paint. SSJ..

On their way to the paint shop, they are run in revenue service (may as well make money while you move the engine). However, every once in a while, they make a few runs before they make it to Chattanooga.
