Posting here since I think this applies to more than one scale. I've been looking at ultrasonic cleaner and was wondering if anyone here uses them for cleaning wheelsets? Will they clean plastic wheels as well as metal without any issues? What type or brand of ultrasonic cleaner have you used? Do you need to add any cleaning solution or just good ole water?
depends on how badly they are grunged up .... hot water and a bit of soap don't -usually- remove weathering paint ... a simple green mixture will remove all grunge fast, and usually the weathering also, lol
