Should I ever get to building my RR, I'm gonna name it TW&C; Time Warp and Convenient.

I like the old streamline passenger era and F7A's.
And I like UPac in the modern era, intermodal, coal trains and rail car haulers, all are pretty expensive, comparatively since I was gifted a big box full of boxcars, tank cars, and a few flats.

Hence the name; Passenger from early mid 20th century and Union Pacific from the collection already on hand, most modern era.

I DO have to finish a few things in the new shop before I entertain the actual building of my RR.
I started to build back in early 2000's but really had no spot for it and I just couldn't grasp/get along with the practice of pre-order and no stock on hand. These put me off on the building part.

Beginning to believe I am just a tool/toy collector. I like having tools to do stuff: wood work, welding, mechanic, etc, etc and I just like looking at the trains also.

Compelling name. I recall years ago reading an article about a model railroad club that used generic buildings and had time specific signs and other props that were changed to reflect the era of the rolling stock being operated. I think it was The Batavia MR club which had to be dismantled and moved. I am sure your ideas will percolate into reality over time.

Sorry, hpdrifter, my fault for not making the link clear. The Bold Type in my post above is the link to an old thread about boxcars we mailed to layouts around the world. The Time Warp occurred when the car left my layout based in the 1960s and next appeared on JimJ's layout based in 1918. The Poster on the side of my building advertises a cult classic sci-fi/musical/comedy/horror show "The Rocky Horror Picture Show", in which dancers "jump to the left" in The Time Warp Dance and travel through time.
Scroll your cursor over the Bold type: "Page 6 Post #111 of that thread". When it changes color, Click it and it should take you to Page 6 of the Boxcar Exchange thread in which we had our own version of a Time Warp. Scroll down to post #111 for the specific reference to the "Time Warp".
