I am planning to purchase the Soundtraxx TSU-4664N Sound decoder in replace of that nasty MRC decoder on my Athearn Challenger UP 3985. I've checked the Soundtraxx website and youtube for any sound samples of the exact decoder but none were found although there were other decoder sound samples. Would any of you guys have any audio or video sound demos of the Soundtraxx TSU-4664N Sound decoder? I'd like to get a small preview sound before I purchase it.
Have you tried setting the MRC's CV19 to zero every time you run? If it isn't zero, the decoder reacts unexpectedly to commands. A full reset doesn't fix CV19.
