I'm new to trainboard and already i'm having trouble. i've been trying to get a picture of my Layout's trackplan into my post but everytime i try to take the URL from Railimages and insert it the picture does not show up. I don't know what i'm doing wrong but any help would be apreciated.

    Sure, we'll be glad to.

First we need to figure out what mistake you are making.

Use this thread to try and post an image and we'll see if we can tell what's happening.

I don't see any link code.

Please paste the URL that you are using for the image and put it between the tags
and
so we can see it. Don't leave a space at the end of "code" like I did though.

No, but that's okay. I see the problem.

You need the URL of the image, not of the page that it is on.

On RailImages, put your mouse on the picture and right click. If you use Firefox, click "Copy Image Location". That's your URL.

If you use Internet Explorer, you can also do it and someone can post what that one says as I don't have IE on this machine.

On IE it's harder but basically the same...

Put your mouse on the picture and right click. If you use IE, click "Properties". That will open up a window. The URL you need is listed next to the label "Address (URL)" so highlight the entire URL shown (May cross several lines) and Copy that into your buffer using CTRL-C. From that point it's the same method to Paste the URL of the image into your posts...

Depending on your version of IE this also works

Put your mouse on the picture and right click. If you use IE, click "Copy" and you have the URL in your buffer ready to paste into your post...
