    Hello all,

I'm having serious hobby withdrawal. Working 11 hours a day and coming home to two under 2 year old daughters leaves little time for hobbies. Even if I had the time I can't seem to find many hobby shops on my island in Indonesia (I'm thinking of carrying back a set next time I'm home on vacation).

I was wondering if there is any value in the Auran Trainz programs. I think I can get ahold of that and it might just let me get in an hour or two of "me time" every once in a while. Anybody out there have any experience with it?

    Regards,
    Steve

Trainz is awesome....for a while. I still mess with it quite a bit but until someone comes out with a new sim that supports multiplayer its kind of on the back burner. My advice would be to get it. You'll have a blast, but it does wear off. There is a heck of lot more to it than at first glance. I have spent entire weekends downloading free content that is head and shoulders above what comes with the game. My advice would also be to pick up a copy of 2004 as anyone who makes any decent add ons (that are all FREE!!) uses 2004. Check out ustrainz.com and trainzproroutes.org for all the free content you can handle. Go for it man, its cheap and will help you get your fix. Really is like everything you ever wanted in a model railrod (except for operating sessions) in a box for $20 max.
