Hello guys , took some pictures of the new UPS trucks and trailers from Trainworx. I think they are outstanding and the pictures show the new release and one of the old UPSZ drop trailers. Enjoy , Mike
Trainworx's announcement stated 6 of each type (28', 53', single-axle tractor and tandem-axle tractor). Were all 24 variations shipped?
UPS Delivery Truck by gdmichaels posted Mar 4, 2016 at 10:09 AM By the way, for delivery trucks, I found this one in my local hobby shop. Yes, UPS is spelled correctly. I took this shot next to a 50' box car, so I am guessing the truck size is 20'. http://www.trovestar.com/images/Collections/4/gallery/upstruck.jpg
So mine is an Athearn! Good to know. By 'out of modern' you means the Athearn releases are modern but the Trainworx are older? They look pretty modern to me but I am no expert. How do you tell the difference?
Actually the Athearn uses a 1970's era cab, so the Trainworx are more modern/newer cab and trailer styles.
Went and picked up a whole terminal's worth of trailers from my LHS today. Now I can run all those BLMA spine cars I picked up years ago. Atlas, how about another run of the spine cars?
The UPS Ford C box vans survived well into the "modern" era. This photo was taken in Los Angeles on November 16, 2008. https://www.flickr.com/photos/south...gQz-ombMy8-5dfZn6-pMJ3Qx-nypJ9o-oFwWUx-4dNZMU I wish Athearn had used the newer paint scheme. Busch makes a Mercedes-Benz Sprinter package car (UPS used the same vehicle in the US but they came from Freightliner or Dodge). Unfortunately, the Busch model is in the pre 2003 paint scheme, and all of the ones I have seen are in the post 2003 paint scheme. Carter
