It's also surprising there are no E or PA units that banished steam from passenger trains. The F40 & the change to HEP should make a list somewhere? No more steam heat for the customers. It may be too political to talk about all the commuter systems owned & operated by local government agencies? Is the Acela a success? can it stand in for the French TGV or other high-speed trains? To my mind, shows how far the US is behind in rail technology.
