Sunsetting on another day on Crawford Hill Got this shot last weekend in Crawford, NE. It is Saturday evening after a pretty good rainstorm. Another loaded coal train making a run for the hill!
Man, Russ, by resurrecting these older threads you're giving me some good opportunities today. While I was searching for that second caboose shot, I came across this shot of an Mexican Army (actually Defense Dept) coach. It was all by itself in a freight train heading east towards Veracruz. We shot it a couple of years ago in Apizaco, Tlaxcala, on the Ferrosur (FSRR) mainline. The reporting marks SDNX are for "SeDeNa", or Secretaria de Defensa Nacional, which translates to the Defense dept. Regards Ed
And, it's time to resurrect this old thread one more time. Many of the links are broken but we can still have fun. The rain had stopped but it soon came again.
March 31st 2017, New York-bound commuter train on former CNJ main at Somerville, NJ. Nikon wrapped in plastic grocery bag to keep it dry.
Nice thread to bring back, just in time for the "Wet Season", here in the Northwest! Typical NW weather, a local heading south out of BNSF's Tacoma Yard with a couple of wet Geeps.
