Anybody else have a pic of their Xmas trains?

This is the 2-6-0 mogul from the On30 Bachman set. I bought it when they first came out. Runs like a champ. Track is Kato. Buildings are ceramic from different store. Not exactly scale but it looks very festive.

Looks like you put the tree inside the layout, Jim!

:teeth: Tina wanted the layout to look like every kids dream, what better way than to have the train in the tree!:teeth: The first picture was used as this years Christmas card. I'm so glad I married a train freek!

I have tried running the Spectrum 2-8-0 HO with a colorful string of reefers, but the dog has other ideas. Springer Spaniels must be Lionel freaks because he atacks, eats and pees on my HO stuff, but leaves my freinds 027 stuff alone when we visit her.

Although my N Scale locomotives would be seen perfectly now -but would eventually be lost amidst all the excitement of Christmas morning.
I let my little guy set up one of those 'Dickens Village' trains. Are they relatively close to Hugely Oversized Scale ? Just guessing.

But that's along time away for me.

Xmas isn't. No tree train for me this year.

Xactly. Love my Lionel 0-27 2-4-2, just say Xmas to me too. (However unrealistic it is).

Of course, its way too big for anything permanent in our house.

I was going to do a double-loop N scale in the tree this year. But we've had so many family illnesses these past few months that I had to skip it. I was thinking of putting it about four feet off the floor, and running LL FA's (cheap and rugged) with all my out-of-era cars. We always get a big tree, 13-14 feet, so it's not too difficult to engineer. I was going to suspend the loops from the trunk with steel wires. Oh well, next year . . .

no train this year again, we have a 1 year old granddaughter I baby sit and she likes to handle things to much. Didn't have one last year either, had a 18 month grandaughter and a 17 month old grandson then. Hopefully we'll not get anymore grand babys this year, 22 is more than enough

I've got an HO loop under the tree though my Mother in Law stepped on it.

Growing up we always had my Mom's old American Flyer set under there. AF SUPERIOR, Lionel INFERIOR!!!

Now my dad runs the Bachman G scale engine I got for Christmas 10-12 years ago.

    Hemi,

Your tree cracks me up. I noticed that you don't have any ornaments in the lower half. IIRC, your son is about the same age as my daughter. I too do not have any ornaments on the lower half of my tree. I wonder if you were having the same problem I was having? Curious little things.

    How did you ever guess.....

Yep, you have that correct. My son just turned 21 mos old. A climber, and curious--that does not even describe his enthusiastic 'explorations'....:shade:

I have thought about doing this a couple of years in a row now but still have not gotten around to it. I think we will go all out for decorating next year so it will fit in perfect :)
