TrainCat - anyone have any contact with Bob lately

I talked to Bob for quite a while at the NTS in Cleveland this year. His wife was with him. He still is planning some nifty new stuff.

 

I was able to build some real nice N scale signals with the Type "D" 4-Pack product from the TrainCat site. If this is no longer available, does anyone know where else I may find very similar signal kits? I recently found some from Shapeways (3D printing site), but they are too big for N scale. Does not look right.

 

I don't know how long it's been up, but the website talks about health issues with the family. They claim to still be up and running, still shipping (Saturdays only), and to contact them with past unfilled order info if you didn't get your stuff. Maybe old news.

 

Does anyone have any recommendations on where to get n scale signal parts...masts, ladders, etc, now that it seems that TrainCat products may not be available?

Thanks Mike. I recently placed an order with BenScale to place some H2 searchlights on my layout to see what they look like. I may have found a suitable replacement for the GRS type D signal faces using a vendor from Shapeways (www.shapeways.com). However, I am still looking for some platforms and mounting brackets.

Has anyone purchased items from Traincat lately? Don't know if he is back producing or not the website is confusing.

 

Last I heard is everything is still on hold. Still having family medical issues, so he is worrying about them currently.
