Just went in to add some more photos to my TB albums, and the "add photo" selection button is gone! I can edit the album info, and edit the info on individual pictures, but can't add any new photos. So, I thought I would try creating a new album. The album created, but still can't add a photo! HELP!
Rick, I just went to look at my album. There's a little thing down to the left and just below the main window that says Upload Photos. Is this the thing that is missing from yours? Adam
Adam, yes - it is missing from my window. Doesn't matter which album I open. I'm using Firefox v3.6. Hadn't had a problem in the past, don't know when the link to upload disappeared, since hadn't tried in a couple weeks
Rick, I understand that to supporters the albums have a ceiling of about 1000 images. Your total appears to be around 135 images. I am trying to find out what is available to regular members. I am also hoping someone with more knowledge on this will weigh in soon. Adam
Rick, This is what I just found out. Apparently, as a regular member you get 10 woo woo woo of upload space. It is likely that the photos you already have up there are hitting that limit. There are a couple options: 1) remove some photos to make room for the new ones 2) replace some photos with lower-resolution versions 3) if you become a supporter I believe your limit will be increased, but you'll want to check on that with E-8 Best, Adam
I've hit the 100MB limit before and I don't recall the upload button disappearing. I think you just got an error when you tried to upload.
John, RailImages and TrainBoard Albums are two separate Photo Gallery services and have different settings/limits. For Rick, working in TB Albums, the limit for Supporters is 100MB, or roughly 1000 images. The limit for non-supporters is only 10MB, or roughly 100 images based on how TrainBoard compresses each uploaded image. The reason the upload button disappeard is because the number of images you currently have is 132, and it no longer recognizes you as a supporter. As Adam suggested, you can either remove enough images to drop the total space usage below the limit for non-supporters, or renew your support donation to receive the extended benefits.
Hmm, ok. I thought I was still a support with my donation coming automatically each month. Must have expired just this past month
10 woo woo woo is the standard for TrainBoard Members. 100MB is TrainBoard Supporters. Things have changed a bit over the years. We have used a couple of different softwares, plus there have been changes from older versions, to an upgraded version. Thus they seem to function somewhat differently. Boxcab E50
No worries, Rick. Mine expired once. I contacted Charlie (E-8) to ask him why I was dropped as a supporter. He turned the question around and asked me the same. It turned out the PayPal had made some sort of error. I set it back up and everything got fixed.
