Anyone have updated info on a derailment today- Somewhere in West Virginia, where a train ended up in a river? Photos on line?

    :eek:mg:

Water should be safe to drink. Provided that any inlet to your system takes from well below the surface. Diesel will remain on top of the water. You'd know otherwise, by the smell...

saw a pic of it on railpictures.net and the lead loco was the only item in the water that did not belong. and it was only the pilot steps up to the nose and so I think that the unit may be back in service really soon. may need some minor electrial work done to the front truck tracion motors due to the water.

The locomotive was pretty new (4814?) and close to Huntington, so it could be in service within a matter of weeks....if that.

Gee... the one time I was in West Virginia, I missed it! Oh well, I may have photos to post of other things...

I'm guessing from the comments here that the crew was safe. That must have been some ride for them.
