It is really curious how the broad gauge changes proportions. Inviato dal mio Nokia 5.3 utilizzando Tapatalk
This station used to be on meter gauge until few years recently. However, it was recently converted to Broad Gauge.
I find the bars on the coach windows curious. The ones on the lead engines make sense, as delinquents tossing rocks are a problem in America as well. The bars on the windows seem to be there to keep people out or in, not deflect rocks. Thoughts?
Those are non Air Conditioned coaches and the bars are there to keep people in. Rock throwing isn't an issue these days. There are multiple types of coaches in use here and this is one of the newer designs. I am not a fan of this since it restricts access to the window for some 'window seat' passengers as well. I'll upload images of some of the classic coaches as well.
