The Upper Musselshell Historic Society is looking for public and employee timetables for the Rocky Mountain Division (specifically in and out of Harlowton, Montana) for the 20s, 30s, 40s, 50s, 60s, and 70s. We need these as teaching aides for history classes for three high schools in Central Montana: Harlowton, Judith Gap and Rygate, Montana. Copies will do just fine although we will, if necessary, purchase (for a reasonable price) originals. We will copy these items so that each student in the class gets a set. This is for an ongoing project (year to year) about railroading in Central Montana. THANK YOU! Please email or contact John Shontz at Montananext@yahoo.com

    John-

If you are also covering the line east of Harlowton, you'll also need timetables for the Trans-Missouri Division at least. Possibly the Musselshell Divn as well- I do not recall exactly when it was folded into the Trans-Mo. If the line north of Harlowton, don't forget it was once the Northern Montana Division. I have an original Bulletin issued which might help with dates. If I can find it.

I want to thank everyone who contributed timetables to this project. We generated twenty one copies of and actual timetables dating from 1903 (Montana Railroad) through 1965. This will be an important teaching tool for many years to come in some fifteen high schools in Central Montana and I want to again thank everyone who donated time and timetables to make this project a success. Bless you all!

Man, my high schools sucked, we never did railroad history in them...wonder if I can go back to high school just to take this class.
