I have a bare memory of hearing this movie title, however I have never seen it. I just Googled and found a brief description. Sounds like it could be an edge of your seat type story.

I saw it, the one about the man who was imprisoned and tortured by the Japanese for years. He was mapping out the progress of the railroad they were forced to build, an officer in the British Army. He was severely beaten and it was a miracle that he lived through the war. The man had a life long passion with railroads. I will not spoil it with the ending but it was very well done and my wife enjoyed it as well.
