Today my son came over, we went to Lowes, and got supplies to build a workbench. We got as far as building the main bench 28" deep by 16' long (about 70cm x 485cm), sanding it down with 40 grit then 220 grit, and sealing it with Spar urethane.

So I moved into this home November 1st of last year, but spent all year fixing up remodeling the inside and outside. Everything was repaired, repainted or replaced, from floor to ceiling, and it looks like a brand new home now. All electrical outlets were replaced with the Decora style, and everything smart home with Alexa voice, and all light fixtures converted or replaced with LED. This took me till April.

Next was the yard, which is 90% done now, requiring rebuilding a 6 zone sprinkler system into a 4 zone system covering the .28 acre lot. Tore out an old rotted covered deck, replaced necessary siding, caulk sealed the whole house airtight, every siding trim , seam, and window, then painted the exterior.

Here was the house as it looked when purchased, but before 3 years of renting it out:

Here is how it looks last month, after recovery from 3 years of renters tearing it down and trashing it. I replaced the driveway lamp and added a duplex for plugging in holiday lighting, replaced all the exterior lighting fixtures, got new sod and sprinklers, and painted it a more updated color scheme. Today there are flowers blooming all over the right side of the berm:

So this is how the garage looks today, just as it was when my kids unloaded the PODS and tossed everything in haphazard piles. It's over 700 square feet of garage mess I am just now starting to deal with:

And today we dug under the piles, loacated and placed the laser engraver on the newly constructed workbench:

I still don't have the electrical panel upgraded to a 200amp from 100amp service. Because of the single 15 amp circuit feeding this garage, running the laser and exhaust will be iffy at best. I might have to run an extension chord into the house to power the exhaust blower. I had 3 seperate 15 amp circuits in my old garage as well as a 200amp service drop. Anyways, tomorrow I will start working on the exhause system for both the laser and the paint booth (seen on the other side of the laser)
