Q100, also known as the Super Z, is running this week over the CSX, should be coming off of the BNSF in Chicago as I type. Slated arrival at Selkirk 8pm Thursday evening, though by my estimate, it is already an hour or two ahead of schedule. It has 4 business cars on the rear with UPS officials and railroad brass. Train will split at Selkirk and head to Worcester, MA and Little Falls, NJ. Hopefully it is running a little ahead, so I can get some shots of it in the daylight along the water-level route. More info can be found here at the Trains.com site. http://www.trains.com/Content/Dynamic/Articles/000/000/002/183oafts.asp
Shot it at French's Mill Rd in Guilderland, NY at 5:00 pm on the nose. Train arrive in Little Falls, NJ about 8:25 pm, well ahead of schedule (1:00 am). We'll see how UPS likes the service.
