I think Candy was very appropriate and civil in her discourse........the other, however, got what they deserved, IMHO.

Oh, yes, because having a differing opinion is just wrong, but calling a kit designer unethical for casting the bricks on a kit a particular way (which one is free to buy or not buy) is not a little over the top.

I am glad you are the expert. Carry on.

I am far from "expert" - never claimed to be. I really have no opinion one way or the other on the kit.......I wouldn't spend that kind of $$$$ on it if it was perfect, which to my eye, it was not!! (looked like crap, in my opinion).

My problem was that the other poster was aggressive and abusive, where Candy was not. I would think she might be knowledgeable enough to judge the quality of a kit, we've all seen her work. That was my intent when I posted what you seem vehemently opposed to..........Like I said, it was "my opinion", and I stand by that. If you disagree, that is your opinion and your right, but DO NOT attack me for mine.

I disagreed. I didn't "attack" you. Learn the difference, please.

A differing opinion was and is most certainly OK- If presented reasonably, thoughtfully.

Discussion of products is commonplace on most of the model RR boards, regardless of who is manufacturing. We have them here, often multiple topics, ongoing daily. Pros, cons, likes, dislikes. Opinions are always many and various. But they never need to be stated as in that one instance.

All the OP seeks are opinions, which is just fine. Discuss/respond constructively, yes. Attack a poster, no. That was the original problem.

I agree with Boxcab - anyone can have any opinion they want, so long as they don't flame, attack, or otherwise annoy other members.

And if there is anyone here whose opinion I would absolutely trust regarding fine modeling, it's Candy.

OK, Candy. We'll call it good at this point.
