Now tell me if that doesn't calm you down before going to bed? It's better than a glass of warm milk!
The boats are almost done. The paint jobs not perfect but I think I did pretty good considering my shaky hands.
Yeah, looks awesome. Can we get a few close up's with the peeps in the boats and river please! Is that just one set of WS fishing peeps for all 3 boats? Bridge looks really nice too, also the railroad track bridge too Are going to see a mini cooler and beer cans J/K! Imagine how tiny they would be, the beer/soda cans, and a cooler 1/2 inch what would N Scale be?
Woowee those boats look good on the river! Nice work sir. To in2tech's statement about coolers, Atlas did some 3d printed N scale ones if you can find them. (N scale beer not included )
I added 2 Woodland Scenics sitting people to fill up the boats. The fishing people all have poles so it’s easy to tell which 2 I added. The bubbles in the water are visible from normal viewing angles and distances but not nearly as objectionable as in the photos. When I poured the Mod Podge I was very careful and didn’t see bubbles but apparently they were there. I could rip the water out and redo it but since it doesn’t look so bad in person unless you look closely I’ll leave it for now. I may, or maybe not, redo it later. The half inch tall beer cans would be 80” (6’8”) tall in N scale, just a bit too big.
Thanks Richard. I talked about the bubbles in the water in the post above. I’m not thrilled with them but will leave the water as is for now. I think an N scale cooler would be big enough to see and work with but soda/beer cans would be too small to bother with.
Thank you, they look really good. I wouldn't worry about the water if it looks fine for normal viewing. Camera photo's bring out all kinds of detail we can't see with our eyes, at least my eyes Amazing scene that is only going to get better over time. Once again, thanks. Thinking of going to the local hobby shop soon to buy some fishing peeps You use acrylic paint on the boats?
Talk about a "tallboy!" Not even a keg's gonna be that tall! More like those inflatable advertising props...
I bought these MTL gondola loads a little while ago. I stained them with an india ink and alcohol wash. They look a lot better but I think I will dust on a little rust colored chalk.
What a great fishing scene especially with the trailers in view. Somewhat remember a soda or other beverage company having that size can or bottle angled on their roof. The 6'8" can when displayed like that can work?
