This is a test to see how well I can read and follow instructions (tutorial - attaching thumbnail to new post). This is only a test - had it been an actual emergency... Scott
You did well. When I first saw the thumbnail, I thought it might be McCloud no. 18 on her old home tracks. I guess that says good things about your modeling skills. :tb-biggrin:
Thanks, Fitz. You're very close - this part of the layout depicts the grade from Edgewood to Weed, the south end of the Siskiyou line. McCloud is just around the corner on the south side of Mt. Shasta. It's fun country to model. Scott
Bigger pix in postings Okay, so I studied the tutorial and learned how to attach a thumbnail (100 KB or smaller).... Now I notice that everyone is using large photos within their posts, not thumbnails. That's great for 'how-to-fix' posts. How can I learn to do that - put bigger pix into my posts rather than thumbnails? These have to be bigger than 100 KB - are they acceptable to TrainBoard? Scott
Scott, have you uploaded any of your photos to RailImages, here on our site? If so, or if you have photos on your own website or elsewhere on the web, it's easy. There is a tutorial on "how to" somewhere on here. I have to find it. See the little icon that looks like a postcard above (when you are typing a quick reply)? When you click on it, it brings up a box to put the address of your photo into, and voila, the photo appears in your message. :tb-biggrin:
If you're the 'Bill' I remember, you gave Lori and me a ride in the cab. I ran into you the day CORP hosted the Tunnel 13 re-dedication VIP train. Your invitation to visit the Siskiyou Southern still stands. I Look forward to hearing from you. scott@pawsitivepress.com
No, I haven't posted any pix anywhere on the internet, yet. It sounds like I need to figure out how to use TrainImages. I'll do the tutorial, today. Thanks, FItz! Scott
Yep, you have the attachment method figured out and I see you are working on the other. Ask all the question you want and someone here will help you understand the process to make TrainBoard more enjoyable.
