Still fighting the cold from hell but have a show in Des Monies this weekend so load up tomorrow. Leave Friday as 5 hour drive up there. But did get some done, have the T-trak-Z modules done. A single straight, a double and all three sizes of outside corners. Will have on display at the show and hope on web site end of next week, as have to do them dang direction and order boxes. I did make the backboard on the single and double bolt on and will be included in the kits. I did split the tops on the corners so can only stock two sizes of boxes, no way around not having a special box for the double. A special box for the corner would add like 6 bucks or more to the price as need two box one for the kit and one to ship. The box price not that bad it's the shipping that kills it. Last box order shipping was over 50% of the price of the boxes. rich

Ahh. Didn't realize that when I posted it. I wonder why that is ? As there are probably a few thousands to tens of thousands $$$$ to make if for sale Worldwide. Maybe an Authorized Dealer in Japan and a Dealer in the States could work around Rokuhan itself not wanting to ship outside of Japan. (just an idea) Thanks for spotting that rvn2001
Just a heads up on the Rokuhan modules. They are made from composite wood. This is a banned import into the US. Additionally, the weight would make the shipping very cost prohibitive to import. I should know, I am the Rokuhan importer. I highly recommend Stuart Denniston for T-Trak-Z modules. He makes outstanding products and is right here in the US. His email is: dennind@gmail.com Rob
Thank you Rob for that explanation and answer. If I was to do T-Trak Z modules that'd be way in the Future at least a Year or Two from now May maybe do a Single Module section sooner. But have plans for baseboard installation and then other ideas for my whole other side of my Layout is vacant at the moment. Plus I want to build a few more kits Enjoy the Rest of your week Rob
Somehow this is confusing. There is a ban on importing wood and wood products made from "illegal" logging sources. (Trying to aid in stopping overseas deforestation and cutting of such as rain forests.) And there are strict regulations on the use of formaldehyde in their manufacture. Yet I can go to Wally World and buy composite wooden book cases and more, made in China, Vietnam, etc. Ikea and other furnishing outlets sell imported items of man made wood byproducts. But module bases made of such materials are banned? There must be more to the story?

Question about the adjustable feet under each corner... I see about a hundred different versions of those adjustable feet on Amazon, but I can't find even one that has both features of: 1). Any of a few of the basic styles of threaded insert or T-nut insert, As well as 2). Allows for an allen wrench to be inserted into the rod end from above through a hole in the module. I do see some adjustable feet that allow allen wrenches to be inserted but only in really heavy duty large/long ones. Does anyone have a solution for that, or do you just forget about that potentially nice feature? rray - Do you mind saying what you used? Thanks!
I used 2 inch long 1/4-20 set screws because they are way cheaper than feet. I put 5mm rubber caps on the ends to act as soft feet. I screwed these 13mm x 1/4-20 threaded inserts into the wood so the set screws could be easily screwed up or down for leveling.
There has been some discussion on the forums on what is the ideal T-Trak-Z width for a module, single, double or triple. I guess that really depends on your needs and design. For me, I found the triple to be a lot of work to fill the space, but fortunately I was looking for a larger scene to accommodate the mill. I can totally see me using more single and double modules over triples based on the scenes I want to create. But the width question inspired me to combine all three of my finished modules into a line. Since I had a single, double and triple, it seemed like a great visual. This is likely not how I will ultimately combine them, but it is really nice to see these all together! I also love the long view looking down the length of all the modules. These modules are a combination of Stuart Denniston's and CMRs. All modules mate up nearly perfect. So don't hesitate to mix n match. With that said, I also have given myself a number of too-does. I have one piece of track on my REA module that needs trimmed down slightly, which is why I have a gap in the modules. Also, I REALLY need to do the REA backdrop. I have some ideas on this. With summer here I am not sure how much I will do. But we will see.
They do look good Rob and I do like seeing the whole big picture. It gives you a sense of what it looks like size wise. Lots of possibilities….
