I bought the 'Badboy Bikers' who stopped into 'Mikes Bikes' on their way through town...

Also bought The BBQ set and the picnic tables set. One picnic table is in 'THE Railroad Park' down by 'Robbies Burgers and Dogs'.

The other picnic table is in the backyard at grandmas house at 'J&J Horse Ranch' where there is a BBQ going on.

I am working on the 'Water Car' for 'Jeans Valley Party Excursion' train.

The Excursion Train goes out 69 miles to 'Shangri-la'...an adults only retreat. The locomotive drops the train at the platform on the 'wye' and returns to town. The train is usually out there for a week and then the locomotive comes back out and hooks up and drags it all back to the station in 'Jeans Valley'. The train is self supporting as it has a HEP car with a generator and boiler for hot water.

Wouldn't such a place have it's own supplier? Like on that tv show.

Some things should NOT be laser cut out of razor thin wood !!!:censored::censored::censored:

The magic words warning "not for children under 13" should also warn us "not so grown-up children" over 60. Sometimes oversized fingers that want to be as uncoordinated as infants, might lead to temper tantrums resulting in mass miniature destruction (and probably needing to be placed in time out)!

I use a single edge razor blade to cut my Laser printed stuff, thinner and sharper than a number 11 blade. For small very thin pieces I have used thin ACC to soak into the wood and strengthen it.

I do believe 'with age comes wisdom'. Also 'patience is a virtue'. I worked on these 'stairs' for a week and half. They do give you 3 in the package. I am guessing they probably know they are going to break during assembly.

I bought the 'Monroe Models' Barnyard Fence...100 scale feet.

The rails and posts in that fencing are about the same size as the poles and bracing on these stairs. I never broke even one piece of the fencing. The difference being...Monroe Models knows that small wood pieces will break so the made their wood fencing from 'Micro Plywood' !

I even bowed the fencing to go around a curve and it didn't break. I believe my dexterity is still pretty sharp for being well over 60. ;)

All you have to do with these thin wooden stairs models is look at them wrong and they will break !!!

    There...I feel better already...Thanks

    John...

The only problem I have found is that ACC will most time not take paint or inks at all. :(:(

ACC soaks into the fibers so I can understand not absorbing inks and stains afterwards. But surface paints, especially stinky paints, should work. (My experience with radio control airplanes.)

OK...so I had this brainstorm for a 'locomotive wash' rack on THERR .

Here is where my inspiration came from....

    Looking good George !

You know, if you modeled the SP you would not have to worry about a wash rack. " SP Wash Rack " = oxymoron !

That's pretty neat! Take some small tubing and run them to nozzles on the rack. For the other ends, bundle them and feed them into one of those cool mist humidifiers (they make tiny ones). Steam wash!!!!!! :D

That is a great idea George! Those blue brushes are cool. What's the part number for those? :D

Maybe you could use Plastruct HO ladders cut in half for the pipe and nozzles stuff?
