I'm only posting this rather poor quality picture (link) because it shows most of the things that made this little engine unique and one of my favourates in N Scale...and I hope in G Scale too. See the number boards, trucks, bell, spark arrestors, window extensions, radiator covers, rerailers etc. http://albums.photopoint.com/j/View?u=1044719&a=7715009&p=27936588 There are a couple more at photopoint.com as well. ------------------ Dave Winter Owner/Operator Winter Valley Regional Railway
These are great looking locomotives Pity I cannot justify one on a southern California based layout My first contact with north American railroads was in Canada, Toronto - Sarnia, and we saw some of these. I thought then that they would make very interesting models ------------------ Alan The perfect combination - BNSF and N Scale! www.ac-models.com Andersley Western Railroad Alan's American Gallery
I have to agree, Dave. The flexi-coil trucks would be a sticking point, though, in N. Still, there is plenty of detail to add (and all available) to keep the eye well and truly busy. Gary.
Gary The really great thing to be said about N Scale, and I had a number of layouts over 25 years, is that an engine, and everything else, is usually viewed from "a hill about 200 feet away". Go outside, measure that off, and check out the detail you can see. Even on a "known" object like your car. Keep the top silhouette close. Forget the trucks. N Scale is all about creating a much larger scene. Enjoy Dave ------------------ Dave Winter Owner/Operator Winter Valley Regional Railway
