I don't know how much freedom you have to tailor the board pages, but it would be really nice if the Forum Jump box could be moved to, or duplicated at, the top of the 'threads in forum' list; eg. just above the 'Page n of n' control. I often view the titles of the unread threads (there's often only a couple as I visit most days), and if nothing needs more reading at the time then I skip to my next forum. But it's a slight nuisance that I have to scroll down to the bottom of the page first - it would be nice to have the jump box right there
I agree, but this may involve a lot of re-program work. I think the idea of putting it at the bottom, is because when we post, it is there handy to go to another thread. It is rather quick if you hold the cursor in the scroll bar and drag the bar to the bottom of the page and leave it at the "Forum Jump".
Thanks Watash. That's OK, it was only a 'nice to have' if it was something that just needed a few clicks in the configuration to make happen. Please don't start reprogramming it - that'll just break something else
It would be easy enough to do but it is one of those things that we would have to "re-do" every time we perform an upgrade. I think that most people do use that when they are at the bottom of the page, however, I can see what you are saying about your navigation style as well. Charlie
I should note that I have not put all of the forums on the menu. Just the ones that I feel are most likely to be visited frequently by the masses. If anyone feels that the wrong forums are listed on this let me know. If all of them are listed, the menu goes wayyyyyy down the page and you have to scroll and that likely defeats the purpose. It may be a little bit like that anyway but we'll try to get it to be useful for people. Charlie
