Strato received the award for 2020. The Piscataway, N.J.-based company was evaluated in two manufacturing categories: Coupler and Yoke Manufacturer and Miscellaneous Car Part Manufacturer as well as Component Supplier. All categories must achieve an “A” rating and a SECO cumulative rating of no less than 92.0 to qualify for the “Excellent Supplier” designation. TTX rates suppliers on “quality, cost, delivery, service, finance and administration, with the goal of providing the highest quality, most reliable equipment at the lowest cost,” Strato reported. Representatives from the TTX Fleet Management Group, and Equipment and Finance Departments evaluate the supplier ratings.
