Spud Valley, Fargo, ND show

    They had the annual show this year, at the fairgrounds now, which was a much more open atmosphere! Quite a few operating layouts, of which a few will be in the videos below. There was a very nice Z-scale one, several N and HO layouts as well. Overall it was a lot of fun and even somewhat educational.

    Had a question asked about the GN's first steam loco, the W. Crooks, why two steam domes? The only answer we could come up with is that the smaller front one is just for the whistle? It appears logical, but I am not positive.

    I wish that MILW SDL was going a bit slower. Hard to get a good look at it, zooming past. Interesting how when those SD70 units were accelerating they sounded a lot like GE's.

    It was a great time! I spent a lot of time at my tables, and kinda 'ran' for the other video's, as you could see! There was some impressive modeling there!
