Here is a special posting for Memorial Day. I have been putting this train together as I can.

FIRST - I thank all of you who are currently serving or have served in our armed services. You make it possible for all of us to enjoy our life. Many thanks!

Most of all a special remembrance to those who gave all they had. You are not and shall not be forgotten.

    My roll-bye:

In memory of Flight Sergeant Carl Bergsten. Buried in England, born in New Jersey, USA ,flew for the RCAF. We don't do Memorial Day in the UK , but maybe we should. There's an American flag on his grave now to remind everyone of the sacrifice he made and where he came from. There's more than a love of railroads we share. Carl.jpg

My older brother, William, got discharged three weeks before I reported so I got a little training. He served in Korea. I made corporal in 15 weeks and sergeant before Vietnam. So when my younger brother, Gerald, went in and I blocked him from coming to Viet Nam so he went to Germany. Then my next younger, Steven, enlisted before I returned and did his service in the USA.
I lost a cousin in the Korean Conflict and several uncles served in WWII.

Thanks for this, was away yesterday! 14 generations of Naval Combat officers in my family including my brother and myself.
Lost my nephew in 2012, he was the last of the line.
