Given the BLT date, the as-built catwalk and ladders were removed during a later modification.

Whoa, that trailer is cool, along with the old school Ryder truck!

I was wondering if that was a Ryder tractor. Cool retro stuff there.

Finally, the latest SOU equipment I caught is this XL "serving the west" in Sep. 2014 at Price, Utah.

Back in '74, mom took us kids to the beach in Edmonds, Wa where the BN is literally next to you-mom took a pic of us kids as a train was passing-and nothing but a perfect Southern boxcar like that in the background! It's in a scrapbook somewhere....

From 09/13/1988 at Prattville, AL, SOU 551371. This Class LC 50' car was from a unique series that came equipped with four roof hatches, a plug door and sliding door to handle goods as well as bulk commodities. I can't make out the car's build date.

I failed to record where I took this photo of SOU 525766, but it dates from the mid-1970s. Build date was 02/1973. These were plentiful and seen everywhere in their day, and decades thereafter. Southeastern paper mills were heavy users of these.
