Actually, you seem to be the only person who's complained openly about the smilies. With everything in the world that one can worry over........SMILIES???????

BTW- the owners DO care- I know at least one of them personally, and he's quite passionate about this forum. Feel free to drop him a PM if you have a problem with the forum.

It's amazing just how little most people know...

The Staff of TrainBoard is ALL volunteer. We have real lives and real obligations, outside of what we do here. There are only twenty four hours in any given day and we do what we can in the few spare hours available. We have here an 'issue' so microscopic, as to not even register on the trivial scale. But we're expected to immediately be jumping through the hoops of flaming fire.

We spend hours every day, helping people with membership issues, tutoring how to use, screening out spammers, scammers AND MORE. When instead we could be enjoying family, friends and our interests in this hobby. Most of you aboard will remember last summer when we accidently found a bug in vB software? That dumped closing in on one million posts in well beyond 70K topics all into one forum. We have since then spent countless hours, mostly thanklessly, trying to get those all sorted out and placed back into their proper areas. This past weekend, guess what I spent the majority of my free time doing? (Well, I did skate out for two contemptably brief hours to see a friend and his layout. First time in months!) Then I have to block out time to cope with this stuff? Good grief.

As Bob already stated, how things are presented. And this was not presented in a well thought out fashion. Then we are told we don't care? Is insulting us somehow supposed to push things up atop the "things to do" list?

Well, I'm off to email a member having a real issue, his password. Then back to hours on end of thanklessly sorting topics again, plus handling whatever REAL issues crop up as the day passes.

Some of our greatest ideas and good site changes come from member suggestions and I normally pay close attention to those things. I've made friends with members who e-mail about concerns or share ideas as well and I like that. However, when someone acts like you (videobruce) and just comes across on the first post with a caustic attitude, I just ignore them (as I will your subsequent comments).
