Thought a Sierra steamer would be nice to show off. It was visiting Modesto CA, a long trip from Jamestown CA. Of course she got to run under her own power the last five miles. Greg Elems [ 11. November 2002, 04:02: Message edited by: Greg Elems ]
Greg, nice shot of Sierra No. 3. When was that taken? Last I heard she was scattered all over the rebuilding floor in the Jamestown roundhouse.
She may very well be scattered around the Jamestown roundhouse. I took that in 1995. She was going to Modesto for a celebration of Modesto's 150th year. She was pulling a short train of cars from the museum. I guess the Santa Fe had nursed here from Oakdale to Empire and were glad to hand her over to the M&ET. She sat in Modesto for a week and then returned to Jamestown. It has been a while since I've been to Jamestown. I will see what I can find out. Greg
