Sure it is. I like the look of pride the worker has. And also the interesting details on that car. Especially that brake wheel. Boxcab E50
Neat and rare paper from a Colorado & Southern predecessor company. There's not a lot of UPD&G stuff out there! Boxcab E50
I have very little.. I have a complete knuckle, found at Palmer Lake, CO on the Joint line; a small mess of abandoned BN RR signs from a former GN line in North Dakota, spikes, a few small slices of rail from various locales, and more than a few scrapes and dings on my truck to prove it. I would like to get some ETT's, just for info in making layout rules, and such, like the real RR's. I also want some china eventually.
Just plop it on your flatbed scanner and upload an image so we can see it. Here is an REA waybill from 1962. A sealed foot locker shipped from Wisconsin to Corpus Christi, Texas.

================================ I got an account some time back, but I cant remember my password. Don't worry, this is too much work to go through anyway! CT
A few from my favorite railroad: Left to right: Left- Issued 1947-1952. Center was issued either 1957 or 1958. Right- Freight promotion issue, possibly 1960's. Boxcab E50
Maybe this belongs on the "Take a closer look" thread. But, this is all that fit on my flatbed scanner. Know what it is?
I haven't forgotten my philately days, I'm still in them. I was pretty happy to find these covers at a reasonable price after writing the article on the Pioneer Zephyr and getting it to Featured Article status on Wikipedia. Check with The Rail Philatelist; that's where I bought them and he had several of each cover at the Cincinnati show (although I only saw one with a perfin). I've got another RPO cover from the last run of PRR's Jeffersonian (a train that I hope to model for NTrak layout operations) and the last RPO run between NYC and WDC; just got to get them on the scanner. eBay's got a lot of RPO covers at reasonable prices, and there are dealers at the local (near me) stamp shows that have large lots of RPO covers to sort through.
r_i_straw, That looks like the yoke on a Note Wand, called a number of things, "Long Hand", "Flying Order", and was used by a Station Agent standing by the track to hand off a note to an engineer or fireman who was passing through "on the fly", (without stopping). I thought I had a photo of this, but can't find it now. Sorry.
You bet I do! It's one of many variants made over the years. This one mounts in a stand, trackside. Hoop up those train orders! This is a delivery fork. Some folks will call it a high speed delivery fork. Which it could do. But "High Speed Delivery Fork" was also a brand name. Those two are not necessarily the same. Boxcab E50
