    The Ames Monument is located where the original crossing of Sherman Hill was located. It was towards the end of the 19th Century that the tracks were relocated to their present alignment about a mile south and several hundred feet lower (altho Sherman Summit is at 8021 feet).

    I wouldn't say the wind is strong on Wyoming, but kids have to use logging chains to fly their kites. ;)
