    Current Shipment Delays

The following is intended to provide updated information on the
situation(s) impacting traffic moving through, to and from the identified
corridor(s). While it provides an accurate, overall account of the current
situation, we caution that some shippers may experience service which
varies from what is described in this report.

    SERVICE AREA REPORTS

    St Paul Service Area; FLOODING

    Update #6; 04/26/2001

Canadian Pacific Railway has been advised by the National Weather
Service that the Mississippi River, which crested last week at 23.5 feet and
flooded areas between St. Paul Minnesota and New Lisbon Wisconsin, is
expected to crest a second time. They have predicted water levels to
reach 25 feet by May 1. Restricted operations between St. Paul MN and New
Lisbon WI will continue until the water recedes to a level at which
safe operations can be resumed. Based on the forecast from the National
Weather Service, it is expected that normal operations will not resume
    until approximatelyl May 10.

CPR has re-activated flood planning activities which include but are
    not limited to:
Dykes have been built around the yard and pumps are positioned.
The main line has been elevated.
Operations within the yard and on the main line have been modified.
This includes activities such as transferring operations to Humboldt
Yard, creating by pass trains from locations such as Milwaukee, Chicago,
Glenwood etc. and making alternate interchange arrangements with our
    connecting partners.
Where possible CPR has prespotted local customers.
Embargoes are being evaluated as required.
Locomotive repair work has been diverted to other locations on the
    system.
    Additional locomotives are on hand.
Plans and materials to repair rail infrastructure once the water has
    receded are in place.

Although it is difficult to accurately predict the length delays, it is
estimated that shipments traveling through and within the US Midwest
will experience delays averaging 48 hours.
