SDP40...again !!!

    Has anyone tried the Shapeways SDP40 ??? From what I've read, the shell is too narrow for a Kato or Atlas chassis. Mfgr says he knows someone made it work, but has no idea how it was done or what chassis was used. The model has the correct shell and rear pilot (ala DD35). REALLY need one of these to make my third BN Bicentennial !!!

    The one I saw on shapeways is the wrong bodystyle for the GN/BN SDP40.

    I'd just kitbash one myself

    OOPS !!! Must have missed something !!! What is incorrect on the shell ??? I'm not a rivet counter, but I would HAVE to have the correct rear pilot / steps. I've seen some great 'bashes, but the rear pilot stands out like florescent orange to me !!!

    The nose has the stepped in area for a brake wheel.
