At long last, scenery has started, still got lots of adding to do, but its on the way. Paul http://www.badger-creek.co.uk
Fantastic! Wow! The forest makes me feel like I am back home in the northern Cascade Mountains. I don't know a lot about On30. Am curious about what you are using for track? Boxcab E50
Thanks a lot kind people. Hi, The track I use is Peco 0-16.5 which has been made for 0n30. Same track width as H0, but the sleepers(Ties) are wider apart and thicker. cheers Paul
Paul, your turn around from the old Badger Creek to the one you had started on to this one an all. your AMAZING with speed in recovery of an old layout to a new one. The quality an all of the work hasn't changed! KEEP it up Paul, sure looking good! VERY realistic!
I like the fact that you added underrgrowth & dead-falls in your forest. Really makes it look good. The clutter is what makes the railroad come alive.
The way he's done his forests easily reminds me of places I have been, lived, and worked in the northern Cascades or Olympic Mountains. So realistic. Wonderful work. Can't think of enough good words! Boxcab E50
Thanks kind people, here's my last photo for a while till I get some more work done. Its my tall timber area. Paul
Awesome scenery. Truly inspiring, and made a nice break in my 12 hour day of software testing. I can't wait to get home after this 3 week trip and get to work on plans for my new home layout.
Here's one of my workers trying to get enough wood cut so he can keep warm all night in his little hut. Paul
Magic! Paul, I had no idea you were so far advanced with the new layout. I will definitely have to make arrangements to come up and have a look at it 'in the flesh'. I will bring my camera
Alan- If you can arrange that visit, please post up photos! Paul is having a bad effect on me. I've been checking out On30 sites that I can find. And have even joined a Group. Boxcab E50
Your welcome to come over Alan, you know that without asking. Boxcab my friend, sorry I am having a bad effect on you, He He He, want more photos. Try these sites http://on30guy.gerenm.net/pages/index.html http://www.on30man.100megs11.com/G2/ http://home.netcom.com/~lrickert/On30/modelers.html Paul
Paul I really love what you have done with all your RR's I have seen. Have you ever considered doing a few tutorials on how you get such realism? Arming us returning/starting modellers with this information would greatly enhance the look of our own railroads and allow us to pass on the skills to the upcoming generations. The current stock of "scenery" information is pretty basic.... Cheers Bruce
