It is difficult to realise that BN has had more mentions than ATSF, even though ATSF has it's own forum, but BN is included in this one! I would have sworn that Santa Fe was the more popular road of the two, with that famous warbonnet livery, etc. Strange, eh? So should Santa Fe be included in this BNSF forum, or BN also have it's own? I'm sure the ATSF folks would have a MAJOR COW if we moved them here. But I wouldn't have a problem with it, and I'm the biggest Santa Fe fan I know. I don't know why the BN folks don't have there own forum. I liked both railroads before the merger, wasn't happy to lose the Warbonnets, but the idea of both railroads together was in my mind many years ago. I was first a pure die hard BN fan. But then I became a BN, GN, NP & CB&Q (not as much) fan...in other words, still a Pure Die Hard BN FAN!! I have had some interest in ATSF. But since I grew up in the midwest (MN) I never saw any ATSF equipment except on every Bachman train set in the toy stoy (how many ATSF F7's did they make anyways). But I must admit, I have always liked those war bonnets! So with the merger, I get the best of all worlds. I now have the excuse to model ATSF, continue the BN stuff (and it's parents) plus all the new BNSF stuff! The name says it all. The Burlington Northern Santa Fe Railroad. We should all be on the same forum, even us BN guys (I'm not sure about GN, NP and CB&Q.) That's my two cents.
I'm leaning more to seperate forums for ATSF and BN, along with the BNSF forum. So far, there has been a lot of BN specific traffic here, a little BNSF, and very little ATSF. If further posts bear this out, I think a move to seperate forums will be supported by the majority. See how it goes, Alan, then put it to the administrators. Personally, I'm not that interested in BNSF, per se, as I am a BN fan. It all ended Jan 1 1996 Gary.

ATSF 10 BN 41 BNSF 61 This certainly supports BN having it's own forum - or Santa Fe being brought into BNSF. I'd like to see us all here, but I know the die-hards from both predicessor roads would not like to be under one roof. Brent, It won't mean total exclusion from any or all the other (new) forums. It will save looking through for any specific posts if you know it will be in the BN, or ATSF, or BNSF forums. Ultimately, it will be a choice that each will make, but considering the few responses so far, keeping it one for the time being will suffice. Gary.
