Isn't ironic that BN banned the SDP40F's, only to have them come back in the BN-ATSF merger? I heard it was the placement of the water tanks and prime mover, not the trucks. Once SF got a hold of them, put concrete in the tanks and other "open" area's, the truck hunting stopped. You have to ask yourself, why didn't Amtrak just go with the FP45 in the first place?
