Denis , I was looking around the net yesterday and noticed that Athern will be releasing a Lgt.Mike soon in SAL. What did SAL steam look like as far as painting and lettering? I also have family that worked for the SAL throughout Florida , if anyone has any questions on operations , routes , or just general interest stuff , let me know and I will see if I can answer or provide direction to a source.Have a good one.

Yes indeed, Athearn is going to be doing their 2-8-2 in SAL paint, should be a great looking model. I am also trying to encourage Bachman to do their upcoming 2-10-0 in SAL paint as well. Check out my website http://members.aol.com/dblake7096/silver-meteor.html for a look at some SAL steam. Denis
Denis, If they do a 2-10-0 in SAL then I'm buyin', even though I prefer mid-60s and later (SAL/SCL). A SAL 2-10-0 and one of AMB's SAL cabs will make a nice pair for a display. My layout (when I get one!) will be diesel territory. Look Ahead, Look South
Denis, I checked out your site last night , and enjoyed it quite a bit. My grandfather talks of firing an old 0-6-0 when he was younger, and it was nice to see somthing other than Jolly greens!!! Keep up the good work and be safe, Justin May

However, I would doubt that would exclude them from their plans. Hey, SAL and GM both had just about the same unit. Part of the reason is that the GM purchased a couple of the SAL steamers. You could do one of each and one of those awesome CC5's from AMB... ------------------ Denis F. Blake TTHOTS

I do need to pull the whole thing down and redo it. Hey now, I love the Jolly Green Giants myself and plan on doing 4 of them when the Atlas GP40's arrive in a couple of months. I am also going to do a couple of RF&P GP40's as well. Take care. Denis
