Robots on line?

    Looking just now , 7 PM , at who is on line I saw 7 members , 17 guests and 10 robots . Um robots ??? What kind of 'bots are logging on here ? :confused: Or is the Borg coming.......

    Yep, Google, Microsoft, Yahoo -- pretty much all search engines use them to automatically pull info from websites so you can search for content on the web...otherwise known as "crawlers" or "spiders" which sound much more creepy. :)

    They are everywhere, searching through every web site you ever visit. Some of them are pretty useless, ("scrapers"), gobbling up bandwidth everywhere they arrive. In the end, they're all about someone making money.
