For those of you who use Atlas Right Track Software, I just got this response from Atlas Customer Service when I asked about the status of RTS:

Not that it was my favorite layout design software (it wasn't), but it did come in handy for viewing layouts that were designed with it.

I've been using it (RTS 10). I find it to be buggy and one has to save frequently, in case it crashes. I've even lost saves, where only part of the layout will appear (apparently the last segment that was added), the rest - lost in the ether. I should probably use a different program ,but this was free, and I'm slowly finishing a trackplan. I hope Atlas offers a new free trackplanning program.

I found RTS10 also an issue and went back to RTS8 for doing my "What If" ideas to see what might be feasible...

I use a Mac so RTS whatever never worked for me. But with them cutting ties with the company that made the program maybe they will make it for Mac users in the future. One can only hope:wink:

Atlas RTS is Winrail with a limited library: Atlas products only.
If I am not mistaken Winrail is already off the market; obviously RTS wil have to follow Winrail's fate.
And yes, RTS.10 had issues. Version 8 however worked very well, also for large layouts.

A demo version WinRail 11.0 is available from http://www.winrail.com. They've also got a free viewer that can be used for RTS files. On another note, anybody have a copy of the RTS 8 installation file available?

I am new here, so if I am repeating something, forgive me as I have yet to read most of the previous posts.

I have a Macbook Pro and recently found (& bought) RailModeller. It's the ONLY program I have found that works well on my Mac, and its nice to have something to work with on the Mac. It doesn't seem to be that difficult to work with. I mentioned it in my Introduction post a few minutes ago, that they need to update the libraries. I am using Bachmann EZ track (N Scale) on my layout. Their library is very limited 22 pieces. Though, in Atlas they have code 55 (44 elements) & code 80 (with 35 elements). They also have other names in the libraries such as Arnold, Atlas, Kato & Peco in various scales.

I just thought I'd throw this out there in case someone else was looking for Mac software...
