27' long curved trestle and bridge spanning Steven's Canyon on the Colorado Consolidated Railway. 4' off the concrete foundation, 5' under the duckunder, built from ripped old cedar fenceboards. 18-19 years old. Dave
Wow. That is nice! Would be great to watch a sound equipped loco, stack talking, crossing those structures.
Such an excellent result on all fronts -- looks great, it's strong and cedar durable. Ought to give many years of service and bring a lot of smiles.
The bridge in the foreground is clamped...we remove it when not in use for access...lawnmowers, wheelbarrows...and when we have wheelchairs, we remove it to get the chair inside, then replace...with loud verbal warnings of "Bridge Out!"
Nice work! I have a trestle from the same materials leading out of my storage area on my deck across to the mainline. About to begin a new one to lead off the other end to a town that hasn't been built yet. Rick H.
