So I have a bunch of pot holes on my N Scale layout. My base is 2" foam and am wondering if they make tar to repair them Actually what I realized is that last time I drilled the holes for my new WS Mast Arm traffic light's, that my bit is not long enough and the round chuck part, not sure of the name, was actually what is creating the Pot Holes as I am calling them. Is there a clay that will not dry rock hard? I have though about taking some roadbed cutting a square in the foam and a square piece of roadbed to fix it? I have no clue, but do know I need a road crew on my layout. Time to call out the crew although I don't own any of this equipment, rats! Where the heck is that machine that lays down tar on the road? Is it now GHQ product?
I have some clay that never dries. Tried to use it for another project. Name: Plastalina. I think it is too soft for your purpose. There are some members on here who will have your answer. I hope your idea about road repair is adopted by local governments in my area.
I'll just have to look at craft stores, if I can't come up with another idea. On the road repair for local government's, especially this time of year, as it get's colder and colder, some are so big I feel like the car tires are going to snap off Of course some of mine on the layout the actual entire N Scale vehicle could fall into them Doesn't take much in N Scale.
I bought that brand at Hobby Lobby for another project and it's pretty hard at room temperature. $4.99 for 1 LB. You can get it in five colors, including black. When you go to the store, press your finger on the package and you can check its hardness to see if you think it will work.
Plan on hitting up some craft stores soon, and Hobby Lobby being one of them. I'll look at this stuff. Also want to try and find the styrene sidewalk stuff if possible? As well as maybe some spray paint. I also have a few other ideas and might not need it. But who knows right now!
