I do too. It was fun while it lasted. I have been very fortunate to work with a bunch of good people for the last 16 years, and even more fortunate to have my life long dream of engineering a steam locomotive come true. All good things must come to an end they say. I guess this is more than likely the end unless the good Lord sees fit to change the situation in one way or another.
Bill, I'm sure gonna miss those cab rides with you in the 19. Any chance we can bid on buying her? Maybe the V&T would like to reunite Pancho and Lefty again.
Jim, I really have no idea what the new owners' intentions are as far as number 19 is concerned. It would be fun to see 18 and 19 run together again though, but somehow I doubt it will ever happen. Yep .. and I'll miss giving you the cab ride too Jim. I wish railroading with steam had not gotten into my blood so much now! But as I stated earlier, I'm thankful for the chance and time to do it over all these years.
