It sure would be nice if Kato, Atlas, etc could make some more Milw GE U-boats to go with my collection. I'd love to beef up my late 70's Milw motive power.

Didn't someone do the U23B units? Or were those only in HO?

The old Atlas U25B were OK. But didn't sell well. They had a one piece early front window and phase details were obviously wrong. Even if painted and detailed, would have not quite looked right. But then I saw so many of them in person, I am a bit spoiled. I had four new undecs to do, but sold them all.

N Scale of Nevada did a nice but very limited run U33/36C shell about twenty years ago. Correct for Milw U36C, but wrong for the Milw U33C which was an early phase. I managed to get one after a struggle and it is awaiting a Kato chassis. Well, it's been sitting for many long, long years now. :(

Going to have to keep an eye out of one of these, a U36C would be great too. I have two of the U23B units run by Atlas. Just wanted some more variety. If I can gather a handful I think I'd weather them up quite a bit!

I cannot recall how many of those shells NSN made. Seems like it was perhaps 100, or even well under than number. The run was tiny.

For my chosen era, the U-boats would still be in fair upkeep, so minimal weathering. The U33C quad would actually be brand new. :D
